"First visit here and was very impressed. The restaurant was clean tidy and welcoming with a roaring wood burner to warm the room. We were seated quickly and drinks ordered, menus arrived. The food came and was beautifully presented and piping hot. All of our party were very impressed with the portions and taste of the food being exceptional. The meal was reasonably priced with two courses plus drinks being around £100. I would highly recommend The Old Schoolhouse, for its quaint charms, fantastic staff and the food and service being superb. You won't be disappointed"
"Had a lovely stay last week. Very friendly staff and evening meal was beautiful. Well worth bearing in mind to any travellers looking for an overnight stop as it’s so handy just off the motorway. Extremely quiet and great secure parking. Will definitely visit again!!"

The welcome was so authentically kind (genuine consideration given to disability) it made us keen to return. Food prices are good, and the quality of the food was exceptional. "Visited for Sunday lunch today, the spicy pumpkin soup was delicious and warming on a cold wet day. Had the roast beef to follow that came with all the trimmings, huge yorkshire pudding, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower cheese and mashed and roasted potatoes in a delicious gravy. Made some room for the sticky toffee pudding to. As always both the food and service were exceptional, highly recommend this fabulous local business."
