"Great location. The food is good and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel is dog friendly and has an area set aside for your four legged friend to join you. Only negative is there is no lift to second floor."

"Lovely reception, bar and dining areas. Beautifully appointed. Staff very helpful. The over bath shower is not brilliant for getting into but apart from that the accomodation was spotlessly clean and comfortably warm. Easy access for disabled. Child and dog friendly."

"First time at the Riverside on Saturday for a wedding reception and back again on Sunday for an event. For the wedding, the room was decorated lovely, the staff were exceptional - such a good laugh and really got involved in the night. The buffet was nice hot and delicious! The only downside was the air con. The room was absolutely roasting, then the air con came on and we were really cold. For the event, it was a wee psychic night. It was actually the same room as the previous night but with a divider up. Room was nice and clean, couldn't even tell there had been a wedding the night before! Would 100% recommend for a function!"

"Lovely hotel. Just back from overnight stay with hubby and friends. Food was excellent and staff very pleasant and helpful. Good deal and excellent choice on set menu. Room was adequate with plenty storage albeit perhaps a wee bit dated. Radiator didn't work but staff got us a heater and set it up. Would return and recommend for short break"
