"First time I had a haircut in this salon. Very disappointed with the service. Hairdresser started chopping hair without even properly understanding the customer's wishes. Also cutting shorter than I've asked for. I've asked for layers, the front part maybe doesn't look too bad, but what she did at the back looks hideous. She cut it too short, rather than doing feather layers, she went and cut it straight line. So i ended having my hair in two lines (one longer and one straight line in the middle which is clearly visible). Basically, the only way to fix it is actual getting a short bob-cut.I know the hair will grow back, but I would suggest to the ladies who treasure their long locks not to get haircut there. I'm quite introvert and I don't like confrontations, therefore I did not say anything during the process , but I wanted to leave an honest review for you guys. I'm not saying that they don't know how to cut hair, but I definitely would suggest to avoid any layered haircuts in this salon."

"Used the salon for the first time on Sat for a Blow Dry. I had discussed what style I wanted in an earlier visit so was very clear what I wanted. The lady who greeted me , who I think was the owner was pleasant. A young girl started styling my hair, a bit slow, she starting putting a few curls in my hair which was not agreed , however carried on. It was taking a while, three different people done my hair in the end!!!!!! What normally takes my normal hairdressers 15 mins, took this salon 45 mins!!!!!! In the end one of the stylist who I recognised from another salon finished my hair. I went to pay her the agreed amount and another lady who had not even been anywhere near me told me a different price . I said to her that this was not the agreed price and that i had asked twice about the price. She went on to say that I had a different style, I explained to her that I had told the first stylist twice that I wanted my hair straight however she kept curling it, so it was not my problem that she did not understand!!!! It should have been explained to her The other lady was asking the owner who was in a different room to come out but I believe she was busy with another client. As I was in a hurry I did not have time as the lady kept arguing with me. In the end to my horrror and disbelief she snatched the money out of my hand!!!! The other stylist came over as I was so upset I had to walk out!!!! She came running after me, she explained she would call me when owner is free. I got a phone call within 10 mins from the stylist to say she spoke to the owner and to come and get the extra money I was charged, which I still have to go and get....... I have never been so insulted and what was suppose to be a lovely experience turned into a very upsetting experience. Alot of the staff there dont understand English and so the stylist I knew spent her time translating, hence why the young girl ignored what I had said."

"I had a very bad experience at this place and what makes it worse is that the owner of this shop treated me so badly in front of many other customers! I had went in to trim my 8 year old daughters hair today which I had informed of over the phone. When we turned up, she asked me whether my daughter was really 8 - probably because my daughter does look a bit older. However the owner started discussing this in foreign language with anger and disgust. Kept staring at me , my daughter and the clock. Then she murmured that this cut will be £10 and not £8 and further complained about my misleading phone call. What I hate about the owner here is that rather than showing her disgust in front of other customers she should have personally asked me for proof of age for my daughter. Moreover I was not even going to brag for £2 extra. She could have told me nicely rather than insulting me this way in front of other customers. I so wanted to tell her off straight away but didn’t want to spoil my daughters mood so just gave her £10 and left. 2 years ago I had been to the same place to get my hair permed. I had similar experience with regards to treating customers, however the procedure itself was so painful. The chemical they used in my hair was actually burning my hair and scalp. After only 2 minutes of application I told them of the high discomfort. The staff told me even if they removed it, they will still charge for the whole service. As this was for £100 I thought I will give it a try, but by the time they removed this chemical, my front scalp was burnt and bleeding. Quite a few patches of hair went missing. I asked them what they used but I never got an answer but they instead blamed me saying my skin was too sensitive and still charged me the whole amount. I was bleeding for first two days and had burning sensations for a week. As it was first time I tried Perms, I didn’t know of the procedure but after this when I checked with other hairdressers they told me they needed to do a tester on my scalp first. So this shows the level of professionalism by Pure Style staff. I have been visiting this place with lots of dissatisfaction many times in last 8 years as I live nearby. But they have lost a customer forever now!"
