The drive to the airport was smooth and quick. The driver was a real gentleman and knowing that we are an oldish couple, he offered to even bring a luggage trolley for us at the airport. "I've used Alpha Cars before and had good service at reasonable prices. But today I booked a cab for which they sent me a confirmation text. The cab never arrived and when I called the company, they said they had insufficient drivers. But nobody had bothered to text or call me. Very disappointed. Good job I wasn't going anywhere important"
"Absolutely shocking taxi company. Ordered a taxi, I requested a payment link which didn’t come through so I called them back. They couldn’t find the booking that I had made 5 minutes ago! Booked again and was told to call when the driver arrived. 2 minutes later they called back and cancelled the booking because they said the journey was too far - it south east London!! Are you a taxi service??!! Absolutely shocking service - the reception staffs grasp of English is appalling too! Do not use!"
"Have used Alpha many times in the past, normally great (5 star). The drivers are superb. However, of late trying to get a cab has proved very difficult with a curt "none available" being a standard reply. This morning my good lady ordered a cab, told one would be available in an hour. No problem and duly booked. After an hour and 20 minutes, phoned for an update. Told it hadn't been booked their end and none were available. Not very impressed with the attitude of late. As I say the drivers are great (5 star), but the admin side needs improvement in certain areas."
