"Haven't been to a car scrap yard in years, so was a big unknown trying out Pick A Part. Website is great with lots of info and pics of the vehicles in stock. Easy to find and the guy on the gate was very helpful. I was fortunate to find all the parts I needed to keep my old Volvo on the road for a bit longer."

"The last time I went there, they expected a £1 just to enter.Which is fine if they have any of the car parts your looking for .But a waste and p/take if they haven't .Especially as the staff at the entrance didn't have a clue if they had any of the car make and model being broken,that I asked about. Im not worried about a £1 I would rather give it to charity than a lucky dip breaker .Instead I now just order bits if needed from eBay and you don't have to remove them and they are normally cleaner/cheaper ."

"I bought an alloy from them for my old fiesta. The chap was very helpful. He was honest and gave a very faii price. A 2nd hand alloy fully fitted back to my existing tyre, balanced and my spare put bAck all for €35! I will recommend this place to others. Downfall: Without my satnav, I would never have found this place."

"This is the best scrap yard in the area by far. The prices are transparent and also extremely good - anyone who says otherwise has got Pick-A-Part confused with some of the other breakers on the industrial estate (there are many). The price stated on their website is the price you pay, not like other yards i've been to where its a bit of a lottery! The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you go reasonably often, as I often do, they remember you. Their website is excellent and shows plenty of info on each car, if the keys are present, if it starts and drives, the date it came into the yard so you can get an idea how much is likely to have been stripped off it by the time you get to it. There are usually 6 or so pictures of each car, from all angles, plus interior and engine bay, so you can tell straight away if they have decent panels in the colour you need, the interior you are looking for, or the same engine type etc. In the yard, the cars are placed on axle stands made from old wheels that have been welded together. They are well supported and it makes it really each to get bits for under the car / remove a gearbox etc. I honestly cannot fault the place. The only improvement I can think of would if there were a few more trolleys for lugging your stash of parts and tools about - when its busy they all get taken. But thats hardly a big deal. Big thumbs up from me."

"I have got a price of £80 for ANY pair of front hub. One new front hub with bearing cost around £35 and used on ebay less than £25 with FREE delivery. Price for two any wheels with tires and hub for them £100.. Even if you take them off yourself with your own tools. You can buy a whole scrap car with a lots of useable parts for that price... Rip off prices."
