As an ME sufferer for nearly 4 years, it was so refreshing to meet a professional who not only 'gets' the illness, but can explain the processes causing my symptoms. With the NHS's diagnostic technique being based on a process of elimination, with only pacing and cbt offered up as treatment, to have Dr Perrin comprehensively explain what physical signs he looks out for and to offer a personalised treatment plan once he found these signs, actually made me quite emotional.
