"It you are looking for a good fish and chip shop, this is the place to go! Great chips, large portion size. Really good fish, the Cod, Haddock and Rock are my favourite and are always excellent."

"Perhaps not the tastiest or chunkiest piece of cod I've ever eaten but both the fish (deliciously crispy and moist) and chips were cooked to order and came piping hot and fresh...considering prices of everything are going up; it was good value I thought, for £11:50. Portion size was superb so the chips had me beaten! The cod was so freshly cooked it was hot right until the last bite. It was just what was needed on a freezing cold early evening in the first week of December. Eating in was nice - I would certainly return!"

"I've visited many times never been a problem. Went again and when asked to pay handed my card. The woman took my card then a guy started speaking to her in their own language and she then said the machine wasn't working. Ok I thought. I went to withdraw cash and then came back to pay. As my food was given to me another foreign guy came in and paid for his by card. Machine miraculously was working. If companies start using this nonsense to hide cash then I will never use again. Stop using excuses and speaking in your own language in front of customers. When in Rome....."

"Bad experience. For the price they charge, I would expect better service. Called to ask about prices of foods. Was told to go and look at website instead of phoning to ask because prices are listed. The man on the phone was very rude. Pictures online deceptive and advertising. Ordered food and went yo pick up. Told the food ordered didn't include chips even though online showed it did. Informed the man that I called to ask to clarify before ordering and he said oh well, it's not his fault that others understand and read it well whilst others don't. He added on to say I called twice thats why he didn't want to explain and advised to go online. I then asked for a refund and he said it was done, but wouldn't show immediately after I stood outside waiting for it to reflect. He then said, you should know by now that refunds don't appear immediately. I then asked for confirmation of the refund and he said 'you can come back if you don't get it. You know me and I know you. This is my brothers shop and only me and the lady work here .' So so so rude.. Wow. Went to Nick's Fish Bar on Pyrles Lane afterwards and they were so lovely and friendly . Such a lovely service and great food and price advertised is what you got. Thanks for saving the evening Nick's Fis Bar (Shortened the story. . But a bad experience leaves lasting effects)"
