He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1990 and completed his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1996. Following his internship at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, he completed an Ophthalmology Residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium in 2000. Further honing his skills, Dr. Galang pursued fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology and ocular trauma and reconstructive surgery at renowned institutions.

His post-graduate training includes an internship at Michigan State University's POH Medical Center and an Ophthalmology Residency with the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Galang completed a fellowship in ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery at Consultants in Ophthalmic & Facial Plastic Surgery.

With a career that spans decades, Dr. Hattenhauer has been at the forefront of ophthalmology, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in vision health. Dr. Hattenhauer's journey in medicine began with a Bachelor of Science from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1987. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1992. After completing a transitional year at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, he pursued an Ophthalmology Residency and a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology in Rochester, Minnesota. His expertise and passion for teaching led him to serve as an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic before joining the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 1999.
