"My family stayed here over the 4th of July. Our stay was great but dealing with the owner of the cabin Jeff McBain was absolutely AWFUL. He is incredibly unprofessional and downright childish. He tried to scam us into double paying him. I hope other cabins on the resort are owned by others so that minimal people have deal with such a crooked person such as Jeff!"

"My boyfriend and his family come here ever summer for the last 20+ years. This is my first time, and it has been an amazing blast! Beautiful peaceful nature filled place. The cabins are beautiful!"
"Second time staying here. Came back due to solid experience first time. Not sure we will come back next time. Owners have locked a spare room in the house, locked up laundry, removed AC, and have no wifi (technically its there, but really, it isn't here. All of these amenities were opposite last time. Wild Goose does not permit dogs on premises. I have asked this question many times, offered to pay extra for security deposits, and have always been turned down. It is extra frustrating because our neighbors here have a dog in their cabin. I get it, it's their prerogative and if I don't like it I should go somewhere else. And I will. Or I just won't ask next time. Overall: Pros: clean, lake is not crowded, fishing is mediocre, easy dock/boat access. Cons: staff communication is often delayed, no dogs, WiFi is highly suspect, no AC, no laundry, far from town, owners seem to change things without notification. Rating: 6/10. Would recommend for a decently priced no frills place in the general Minocqua area. 0/10 if you love your pet."
"Annual family trip. Very good fishing on the lake. Cabins are a mix of new construction and remodeled. Ours sleeps 10. Beds are comfortable. We will come back next year."
