Guests can launch their boats from the private concrete boat ramp and dock them on their private pier right outside their door. Each cottage comes with a 14-foot boat for guests to use, with the option to rent motors and extra boats. The resort features three carpeted two-bedroom cabins and an original two-bedroom log cabin, all equipped with modern amenities and fieldstone fireplaces in three of the cabins.

Surrounded by over 20 acres of birch trees, French Lake Resort offers wide open green areas for guests to enjoy outdoor activities. "Best rustic cabin, with every modern convenience, I've ever stayed at in the Northwoods. The scenery, fishing and the hosts were fantastic. Dining, shopping and entertainment are 20 minutes or less travel time away on beautiful country roads. This resort set's the benchmark for all others to follow. Beautiful, quiet, big fish."

"Pretty lake, deep woods setting. Owner was VERY alert to guests' activities. The old Musky Bay Lodge we stayed in was like a fun house at a carnival - floors so uneven that food served at the table slid downhill in the pan and ceilings and doorways so low I left blood after cracking my head. Owner let us view the newer units - should have reserved one of those instead. We spent a lot of time fishing but caught nothing worth mentioning. Beautiful lake with towering white pines and little powerboat traffic. We were there first week of September 2019. If I were to go back I would reserve one of the newer units. Note: no locks on doors of our unit; could not stand erect to shave or shower in our unit's tiny bathroom. To be fair, I'm 6' 6" tall, but still... Kitchen well equipped with needed cooking gear; good fridge/freezer. Comfy sofas, nice outdoor cooking/eating area. Neat collection of games for rainy days. Handy pier and boat was good. Very quiet."

"My Dad and I were up here this past October, and I must say we had a great time. The cabin was comfortable and cozy, and very well kept. Mike and Fran are amazing as well. And the lake was a sight too be seen. We'll definitely be back in 2022"
