Located at W6462 Center Avenue, Medford, Wisconsin 54451, our town hall serves as the hub for local governance and community services in Taylor County. The Town of Medford has a rich history, dating back to its establishment on March 4, 1876, when Taylor County was named in honor of William R. Taylor, the Governor of Wisconsin at the time. Since the first election held in April 1875 at the store owned by Roberts & Whelen, the town has grown and evolved, becoming a vibrant community with a population of 2,519 as of January 1, 2022. Of this population, approximately 1,943 are of voting age, reflecting our engaged and active citizenry.
