Dale and Ruth Michels Hall
● OpenDale and Ruth Michels Hall is a three-story, coeducational service-learning residence hall located at 708 3rd Street in De Pere, Wisconsin, United States. Housing 118 students, Michels Hall offers fourteen suite-style rooms for groups of eight students. The building features a central lobby with a television, kitchen, couches, and study tables, as well as a reflection lounge. Laundry and vending machines are available on the first floor, with study rooms on each floor. Residents are required to have a residential meal plan based on their housing year classification. Each room is furnished with wireless internet access. The Michels Hall Service Program is a living-learning opportunity for second-year students, in collaboration with the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning. Students complete 30 hours of service with a community organization in Brown County, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay or the Greater Green Bay YMCA. The program helps students connect their actions in the community to the common good. The staff includes resident assistants, community assistants, and an area coordinator. The hall also features a remodeled common lounge, a common kitchen, and a quiet reflection lounge. Applications for the Michels Hall Service Program open on December 1.
