This institution is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the surrounding area by planting native trees and educating volunteers on the importance of tree conservation. On a rainy December morning, volunteers from Columbia Bank gathered to help plant 260 trees around the park, learning from horticulturist Jake Pool about the impact of climate change on tree health. Pool emphasized the interconnectedness of trees and the vital role they play in our ecosystem. Despite the challenging weather conditions, volunteers eagerly grabbed their shovels and got to work, including a young girl who was eager to help plant new trees. The institution aims to plant 1,000 to 3,000 trees each year, with the help of dedicated volunteers and generous donations from local growers.
