Point No Point County Park

The park offers a sandy beach, picnic areas, undeveloped saltwater access, a parking lot, and a historic lighthouse. The park recently underwent a shoreline repair project to address damages caused during the 2022/2023 Winter season. Phase 1 of the repairs, which included importing sand and rock materials to the north beach, has been completed. Phase 2 of the project is set to further improve the beach and shoreline by increasing beach elevation, planting native vegetation for stability, and rebuilding the rock revetment wall. While Phase 2 is not yet permitted, visitors can still access the WDFW parking lot with additional parking available at the overflow lot and trailhead on Thors Road. The park entrance road and parking lot will remain closed to the public until the super-sack sandbag wall is removed. The US Lighthouse Society headquarters is located at the Point No Point Light Station within the park. Visitors can enjoy the sandy beach, explore the historic lighthouse, and learn about the lighthouse society's work. Directions to the park are easily accessible from Poulsbo, making it a convenient destination for a day trip or weekend getaway.

Kitsap County Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve

This nature reserve offers saltwater beach access and a variety of walking trails for visitors to explore. Please note that there are no restroom facilities available at this site and animals are not allowed in the park. Public shellfish harvesting is also prohibited. The trail system within the nature reserve may change slightly over time due to the flow of creeks through the estuary. Visitors can enjoy various trails such as the Main Access Trail, Sawmill Trail, Margaret Trail, Stump House Trail, Maple Tree Trail, River Trail Loop, Beach House Trail, and Ridge Trail. The history of Guillemot Cove dates back to 1939 when the Reynolds family discovered the area and eventually purchased the property, preserving it as a nature reserve. The family spent years restoring the land and building structures such as the Stump House and beach house. In 1993, the property was sold to the Trust for Public Land to ensure its protection and conservation. Visitors can now enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich history of Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve. To reach the nature reserve, take Hwy 3 to the Newberry Hill exit, travel to Seabeck Holly Road, then Miami Beach Road, and finally Stavis Bay Road. Drive 4.5 miles to the entrance and parking lot to begin your nature adventure.
