This park is a popular tourist attraction with over four miles of trails that wind through old-growth Douglas Fir trees and offer stunning views of McCormick Creek. The park is home to abundant wildlife and offers foot, bicycle, and horse trails for visitors to enjoy. The park was established in 1996 when a large section of land was transferred to Pierce County from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of creating a public park.
