The Ferry House
● OpenThe Ferry House, located at 455 Ebey's Landing Road in Coupeville, Washington, has been a landmark on Ebey's Prairie for more than 150 years. Originally built in 1860 by Winfield Scott Ebey and George Beam, the Ferry House provided shelter and support for travelers making their way up and down the Salish Sea and to families who settled on the island. Although the Ferry House is not currently open for tours, visitors are welcome to walk down the farm lane to the house and imagine life in the mid-1800s. The house overlooks Ebey’s Landing State Park, with parking available at the park just below the Ferry House (a Washington State Discover Pass is required). While there are no tours scheduled for this year, visitors can contact the office at 360.678.6084 for more information on the house and possible upcoming tours.
