Tom's Park
Tom's Park is a 10-acre park located on the shores of Lake Florence in Anderson Island, Washington. This densely wooded park features some old-growth trees and was once home to a bald eagle's nest. Currently under development, the park offers two trails leading to the water. The left-side trail is designated for people-only, while the right-side trail provides lake access for dogs. Although amenities are still being developed, dog owners are welcome to explore the area. Please note that swimming is not allowed in the dog area due to public health concerns. The park was generously donated by anonymous donors in 2009 and named in honor of Tom White, a conservation enthusiast. The park was placed under a restrictive Conservation Easement due to an active eagle's nest, but after a decade of vacancy, the Park and Recreation District was granted permission to develop trails in 2019. Leashed dogs are allowed on the right-side trail, while off-leash dogs are permitted at the water's edge.
