Located in Lynnwood, Washington, just north of Seattle, Edmonds College Baking and Pastry Arts program offers a comprehensive education for those looking to pursue a career in the baking industry. Students have the option to earn a Baking Certificate in one year or an Associate of Technical Arts Baking Degree in two years. The program covers a wide range of skills, including entremet, specialty cakes, plated desserts, tarts, petits fours, artisan breads, and viennoiserie. Those pursuing the two-year degree will also learn bakery management skills, as well as how to create chocolates, confectioneries, wedding cakes, and edible showpieces.
