Students have the option to earn a Baking Certificate in one year or an Associate of Technical Arts Baking Degree in two years. The program covers a wide range of skills, including entremet, specialty cakes, plated desserts, tarts, petits fours, artisan breads, and viennoiserie. Those pursuing the two-year degree will also learn bakery management skills, as well as how to create chocolates, confectioneries, wedding cakes, and edible showpieces. Graduates of the certificate program will be well-equipped for entry-level positions such as cake decorators, bread bakers, bakery retail associates, and pastry cooks. Those completing the associate degree will be prepared for managerial roles within the industry.
