ATRIO Apartments

"I have been living here since 2020. We are leaving near the end of our lease that is up soon. This company has no issues breaking the lease agreement as residents normally have no recourse. Some of the issues we have been having: the corner of our apartment has sunk about 1-2 inches over the last 3.5 years. After new management came in in 2023 they replaced the gate and lock to the pool, so there has been no access to the pool. There is no access to the workout area, even before construction began. Keys were supposed to be given to access these areas per the lease agreement we got for this last renewal, it did not happen. There is dog feces everywhere, the "dog run" is more of a dog "litter box" as nobody picks up after their dogs even with bags everywhere. Radon levels are way too high, Radon levels on apartments have been tested at 10 picoCuries per liter of air (pCi/L) to past 50 pCi/L. The EPA's action level for fixing this is 4 pCi/L. Before you think of moving in, please go look up how much this is in terms of packs of cigarettes per day and/or cheat x-rays per year. Mold issues: Mold was found growing through our wall and we had this tested by a 3rd party lab. The doctor was very concerned about the results and as such, everyone moving in should be as well. When the management company was notified of the mold growing on the other side of the drywall and how it was growing through the drywall, they painted over it. A specific violation of their own lease which states that "Mold shall not be painted over". The hot tub has never been available in the 3.5 years we have been here. The temperature outside is 37 degrees. It is the middle of winter and the pool is uncovered. The fencing around the pool is open to where anyone can walk through at any point in time. Do you really want to risk your child going into the pool and not being able to get out due to shock and/or hypothermia? There is also no handle on the trash compactor. So any child could play around, on, or in it. Note that just this last year there were at least 4 stolen vehicles out of reserved parking spots and less than 2 weeks ago someone had a broken window and things stolen out of the car that was parked right next to the office. The management company will give 48 hour notices of entry around noon, but try to enter earlier than that on the 2nd day of the notice, before the 48 hour period is up. You have the right to refuse entry until the time the notice was given/posted on the door. Also, some notices which Washington State Law requires they also send in the mail, the management company does not send by mail, invalidating service of those notices. If you move in, read up on Landlord/Tenant law, you'll need it."

"We love living here! We have been here for 5 years now and it is my favorite complex I've lived in by FAR! Maintenance is speedy and knowledgeable, Juan is AWESOME!! The staff in the office are friendly. The complex is clean and I feel safe here! Couldn't recommend this property enough!"

"Maybe instead of spending so much time trying to rebrand someone should do something about the garbage situation. Also don fall for the “renovated” apartments. They just painted all the old cabinets, doors and closets White."

"Wondering when the issues with trash will be addressed? This place clearly needs another trash compactor as this is a recurring issue every single week. Update (12/15/23): finally moved out because we couldn’t take living here anymore. The neighbors are SO loud and inconsiderate. If you’re a working person, this place probably isn’t for you. People here will be loud all throughout the night, whether it’s your neighbors being loud in their home, talking loudly or watching tv at loud volumes (the walls and floors are paper thin, you can hear absolutely everything), or the people outside blasting music in their cars past midnight. My quality of sleep has seriously deteriorated from living here. The apartment itself is just whatever. Weird layout, the smoke detectors will go off without reason (it goes off when I dry my hair and there’s no smoke…), kitchen is tiny, sink pipes leak randomly, no AC and the heating takes forever, not insulated very well, the walls are suuuuper thin, and for some reason our guest bathroom smelled like a sewer at random times. Also, the people here are just…. Dirty???? They leave garbage outside the trash compactor, and leave gross garbage loose from the bags so there’s just a bunch of nasty rotting trash out in the open. There’s often litter in the parking lot or on the lawns and I have to clean up after other people because, what? People are lazy or dirty and can’t pick up after themselves? All in all, the people here are gross, annoying, and loud, and the ~*~remodeled~*~ units aren’t going to hide that. Been moved out for a week and my mental health has greatly improved."

"Nice apartments my son lives here has been for 3yrs. Seems happy with his accommodations. Managers are nice and friendly and handle repairs in little time. All around good place to live."
