The Hip Hop Shop, located at 1919 18th Street Northwest in Washington, DC, is part of the National Hip-Hop Museum, the world's first museum dedicated to preserving hip-hop history and culture. Established in 2019, this nonprofit organization includes The House of Hip-Hop, The Hip-Hop Cafe, and The Hip-Hop Museum Pop-Up Experience. The Executive Director, Master Gee of The Sugarhill Gang, oversees a collection of over 5,000 unique pieces of memorabilia, artifacts, and rare items representing all aspects of the hip-hop culture. The Hip-Hop Shop offers a variety of rare and vintage hip-hop memorabilia, from apparel to vinyl to sneakers and more. The House of Hip-Hop features curated exhibitions from the museum's collection, with interactive exhibits changing every 90 days.
