The project aligns with Richmond's development plan, prioritizing green infrastructure in the rapidly growing neighborhood of Greater Scott's Addition. The Green is open to the public free of charge, welcoming both Science Museum guests and members of the community.

Across the street, Swampoodle Terrace provides a peaceful retreat with shady spots for relaxation and small gatherings.

Wangari Gardens
β OpenWangari Gardens is a vibrant 2.7-acre garden park located in Washington, DC. This community-driven space is designed, created, and sustained by the local community for the non-profit benefit of all. Inspired by the legacy of Professor Wangari Maathai, the garden is a hub of creativity and engagement. Visitors can explore a variety of garden spaces, including a 50-fruit tree forest garden, public vegetable garden, herb garden, medicinal garden, berry garden, and a strawberry patch.
