Russian and Eurasian Studies at Mason
Russian and Eurasian Studies at Mason, located in Fairfax, Virginia, offers a comprehensive exploration of the culture, economy, government, history, literature, and politics of the region. The program is led by experienced Mason faculty who provide students with the language skills necessary for success in various careers and social settings. All majors have the opportunity to study abroad and immerse themselves in the rich and diverse cultures of Russia and Eurasia. The Fall 2023 cohort of CHR Residential Fellows at Mason have been delving into the theme of Democracy, Disposability, and Repair, addressing important issues and engaging in thoughtful discussions. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences recently honored Michael D. Marino, a distinguished alumni in Russian and Eurasian Studies, for his contributions to the field. Marino, who holds a BA in Russian Studies from Mason, is currently the director of class giving at Columbia University.
