Shawnee Springs Preserve
β OpenShawnee Springs Preserve is a beautiful park and tourist attraction located at 512 Hollingsworth Drive in Winchester, Virginia, United States. Owned by the city of Winchester, this preserve is situated between downtown Winchester and Jim Barnett Park, making it easily accessible for visitors. The Green Circle trail connects Shawnee Springs Preserve to various natural spaces, historic sites, and commercial areas within the community. Visitors can pick up an interpretive brochure about the preserve, which was created by Shenandoah University students, at the trailhead off Hollingsworth Drive, as well as at Jim Barnett Park and the Winchester-Frederick County Visitor Center. To reach the preserve, simply turn right (north) onto Pleasant Valley Road from the Visitor Center, Wilkins Lake, or Shenandoah University, then turn left at the traffic light onto Hollingsworth Drive. At the stop sign, turn left again and take the first right at the Civil War Trails sign to access the parking lot and information kiosk.
