Kroger

"Saw add fior blue berries on Google phone and at the store auto check out machine refused to give me the sale price. Ask.... disinterested reply do not know must be a 2 for 1 offer. Now who would want 12dollars worth of berries at one time.. pre sale orice,.........eg. next time l will walk in the other direction and get the dr request at cvs. There was one other it mis priced but I was in no mood Io buy any mis price items. Oh well what u do when there is a no lights problem. This one is 6 months history. This summer 2023 they always put the ice cream in paper bags and the rest in plastic bags. I ask why reply my boss says so. Well that is my wording. It was a good thing that I am 3 blocks away because the ice cream etc. Is soft because they fill the order shortly before the pickup time."

"Worst service of my life. We had a pickup between 3 and 4 today that we placed yesterday. We leave to go pick it up and they say it won't be ready for another 30 minutes. That's fine so we plan to wait 30 minutes and now they are saying it won't be ready for at least another 2.5 hours. Then they call back and say it will be ready in 25 minutes. So what am I supposed to do?"

"The Bakery had lost my sons birthday cupcake order. I was furious. However, the Baker on duty was amazing and whipped up 24 cupcakes on the fly! Was it the birthday ones I ordered? No. But I was impressed and grateful for her urgency and willingness to help!"

"They never have enough self checkouts open. It’s bad enough we are forced into using self checkout and the justification for self checkout has ostensibly been to reduce staff, yet here we are with the same old problem as before self checkout: never enough open lanes. Another reviewer mentioned a woman who gets uncomfortably close to customers. I too have experienced that with the same woman. She got offended the one time I actually said something, but it’s been multiple times she’s gotten UNCOMFORTABLY CLOSE to me."

"My primary Kroger used to be the VCU Kroger at Lombardy. I really didn’t think it was possible, but this Kroger is hands down even worse. Shelves are bare (I’m guessing due to lack of employees to stock vs lack of product ), customer service is terrible (expect for the nice older lady at the shelf checkout), and the check out lines are needlessly long. Even the self check out lane consistently leads 1/2 way down another aisle. I should have made this review much earlier but I had hope I just picked the wrong days to shop. Nope - I was wrong. This Kroger is terrible. Enjoy bad selection, bad service, and long check out lines. I swear it feels like this store only has 5 total employees. Edit 11/8: another day, another long self check line. Edit 11/9: Thought going before 5pm would beat the after work surge crowd. Nope, 2 registers open and yet again the shelf checkout line half way down the store. Edit 11/22: Two visits in a row where it’s been a good experience. No self check out line this evening - Three Stars!"
