"Yeah, there was a time I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. But nowadays, their prices are often too high for used/dated product. Kinda like other second-hand places, they are apparently subscribing to a different audience. Let the buyer bewsre."

"This used to be a wonderful place to find treasure! My last visit (last week) after not stopping in for a few months, I was appalled at the priced that were attached to donated items. After asking a volunteer if there was new management, she sheepishly confirmed my thoughts. Then tried to explain it was to help build homes . I then explained that this "new management" needs to understand that these houses they're building will also need to be furnished with furniture! This used to be a place that you get nice furniture on a very restricted budget. The donations that people make are in good faith. It is an abuse of that faith that I find sickening. I really doubt that Jimmy Carter would approve of the new managements price gouging! there is no humanity at the Midlothian habitat."

"Simply put, 1 star for outrageous prices. Prices so high they make antique stores look cheap. I had never been in here and while the place is huge, well organized and has loads of stuff, the prices were laughable. $2000, yes 2 THOUSAND dollars for a big gaudy armoire, not an antique but some new-ish ugly monstrosity with a matching bureau at $1,750. Cheap framed prints you can find all day long in any thrift shop for under $10 were $30, $50, $80 and up. My friend and I went through the store laughing at the prices. And to the best of my knowledge all this stuff is donated. I am sure that like every other store connected to a charity their excuse is that they are helping people and their prices are fair. No , this place takes the crown for the most ridiculous prices on used merchandise I have seen in the Greater Richmond area, plus they had nothing I haven't already seen in other stores. I have no idea if they have sales but this place was so expensive that a 50% off sale wouldn't be enough."
