Ivy Creek Park
Ivy Creek Park is a beautiful nature park located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Situated within the Lynchpin Industrial Park, the park offers a serene oasis with the six-acre Clemmons Lake as its centerpiece. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as canoeing, fishing, picnicking, and hiking on the multi-use trails. The park also features picnic and play areas, as well as an auxiliary site for the naturalists of the Nature Zone. The park incorporates green design principles and native landscaping to attract wildlife. Originally dedicated in 2011, Ivy Creek Park was acquired from the Lynchburg Economic Development Authority, who had obtained it from the Pugh family. Dr. William Thomas Pugh, a local surgeon and sportsman, had acquired the property as a family getaway. The park offers PFD rentals for those over 30 lbs and provides fishing opportunities with stocked trout and catfish from the Montebello Fish Hatchery.
