Powhatan Creek Park and Blueway
Powhatan Creek Park and Blueway is a picturesque tourist attraction located at 1831 Jamestown Road in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States. This park is part of the Chesapeake Gateways Network and offers access to the James River at Jamestown Island, providing stunning views of Historic Jamestown. The park features a small non-motorized boat/canoe/kayak launch with gravel parking for up to 20 vehicles, as well as 5 observation/fishing piers. Visitors can enjoy fishing and boat launch access 24 hours a day. Powhatan Creek is known as the most biodiverse creek on the peninsula, with scenic views of tidal marshes and abundant wildlife. This 23-mile tributary of the James River passes through an area rich in history and environmental significance, having been used by the Powhatan Indian Confederacy for transportation and survival long before British settlement.
