"Nice small trail through the wood's. Markers are placed throughout. Trails are clearly marked with Blue paint on trees on trail. Park at church parking lot across the road and enter wood's on left side of historic marker to begin,trail can be done in a loop as you will come out of wood's to a gravel rode,which will lead you to highway. Also parking down the road."
"Decent hike with some info markers. Overall, pretty decent for a small, more obscure battle."
"This was the first time I visited this Battlefield. It is smaller than most that I have visited. The paths are overgrown and unkept as can be seen in the photos. This battlefield is not visited much and there are no bathrooms available from where I parked. Because it is a battle site, I recommend a visit to give the interest visitor a glimpse of the fighting the was conducted there."
"Walking trail thru the December 1863 battlefield. Some information signs on the trail. Very rough walking. About 1.5 miles long. Park in the church parking lot. Carry water. Good for the true Civil War buffs."
