The Mill House Museum, located at 413 Mill Street in the Occoquan Historic District of Virginia, United States, is a unique institution that showcases the history of the area. Originally part of an iron works complex established in the 1750s, the main mill on the site was converted to milling operations by Quaker Nathaniel Ellicott in the late 18th century. This advanced gristmill may have been the first automated mill in the country. Although the main structure was destroyed in a fire in 1924, the small attached Mill House, where the mill's administrator worked, survived. After years of neglect, the Alexandria Water Company restored the Mill House for office space in the mid-20th century. Eventually, the Fairfax Water Authority turned the building over to the Town of Occoquan, who now leases it to the Occoquan Historical Society for use as a museum.
