Vinny's Italian Grill

"Vinny's has done a complete 180. While I have frequented the establishment for what feels about almost 20 years now, the last couple years were a little rough.... however, they have fully remodeled the entire interior, and since the remodel, everything has been stellar. Plenty of staff working in the very clean and very open kitchen, the new modern dining area is comfortable and inviting, and the food quality ...which I would have rated a 4 at its highest prior to the remodel has been consistently amazing for all 3 of my experiences post renovations. Cannot say anything else other than treat yourself to some wonderful Italian food when in the area!"

"Got take out- terrible food! Pizza was cold, tasteless, and terrible quality. I used to love their pizza, but the food has gone down hill. This was the last time I order from here!"

"Let’s just get to the elephant in the room. Yes this place was full of whatever flies they are. I was at the dentist of all places nearby and was told about this location. I was like umm flies. They told me to come and try it out that it was different. So I did. I asked the hard questions to the staff and looked around. Oh yes I walked around and ordered 1 slice of pizza and watched. Why because I’m eating here. I ask about the flies. They admitted that the old management cared very little and yes it had a fly problem. The place was shut down for months for clean up and remodeling is the right way to do it. Don’t try to clean up while open. the leadership staff with some other staff were let go. I don’t advocate for anyone losing their jobs but treat my food how you want your tip. The place is clean most important, the food is good, and service well honestly is respectable. Respect goes a long way for me."

"We’ve been to this Vinny’s many many times over the years and it was decent. The original location in Spotsy was always solid, but it’s too far for very casual Italian food, so this one and the one on 610 are the only options for Vinny’s in Stafford. The one on 610 has been a little inconsistent over the years. This one seems to have recently changed hands and it seems they may have gotten taken over by the family that kinda started all the Italian joints around here and they refurbished it and really improved it. The old, dingey Vinny’s that was covered in fruit flies is no more! This is a new joint with nice, new menus (still all the same stuff on the menu), new tables, floors, colors on the walls and those sagging ceiling fans have been replaced too. The food on the day I visited was really good! I tried a slice of pizza about a year or more ago and it wasn’t very good, but on this trip I decided to try a cheese slice and it was great! Not as good as my favorite pizza, which is J’s (right around the corner in the same plaza), but it was really good! They had a tricolor pasta dish on their lunch specials menu that I tried and it was really good too. The sausage in it was flavorful and the sauce was excellent! I also got a side salad and it was just “ok,” it definitely wasn’t as good as their side salads used to be (not very fresh lettuce). Overall, I really enjoyed this experience and I would return."

"For years, I used to love coming here with my family... but recently, this place has started to go downhill. For a while, they had a problem with fruit flies, which was pretty disgusting because they were falling into our food and drinks. Now, this last time that I went, they were out of pizza, which would have been nice to know before we sat down.. how do you have a pizzeria and be out of PIZZA, DOUGH? Nonsense."
