Central Furniture is a furniture store and home goods store located at 3807 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Richmond, Virginia. We offer in-store financing options for our customers, with no involvement from banks or finance companies. Our spacious new store opened in June 2018, allowing us to expand our selection and better serve our customers. Despite challenges due to the pandemic and global supply chain issues, we strive to maintain a diverse inventory available for immediate delivery.
Our history dates back to 1991 when we first opened in downtown Richmond, eventually moving to our current location on Mechanicsville Turnpike in 2004. The past couple of years have been particularly challenging for the furniture industry, with disruptions in manufacturing and shipping leading to delays and shortages. Despite these obstacles, we have been fortunate to maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and keep goods flowing in.
Like many retailers, we have had to adjust prices in response to rising costs and supply chain challenges. We appreciate the continued support of our customers during these uncertain times and look forward to a more stable economy in the future. "I’ve been shopping with Central Furniture since 2015, my mom recommended them when I moved into my first apartment, and I absolutely love this place!. Fast forward to the present , they definitely have a customer for life! I just got my little girl her first bedroom set from here too. She was so excited! The bedroom set is simple yet gorgeous. CF delivers for free and assembles everything as well. Their in-house financing is reasonable with no early payoff penalties. I was super excited when they moved to the old Salvation Army building on Mechanicsville because I just knew the larger space would mean more inventory to view. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable, the furniture is stylish, and I literally refuse to buy furniture from anywhere else haha. The service is great, and they always take care of me when I come in or call in a payment or just to ask general questions. Thank you, Central Furniture for helping make my house a home!"

"They reported incorrect information to the credit bureau that I was 60-80 days late making a payment, which isn't true because I paid my account off ahead of time. Now I have to file a report to get that false information corrected.Their Furniture is OK but overly priced, and they do offer free delivery which was good. Overall a bad experience with the false report."
