Mt. Zion Historic Park, located at 40309 Little River Turnpike in Aldie, Virginia, is a must-visit tourist attraction. The park is home to the Mt. Zion Old School Baptist Church, built in 1851, which served as a place of worship for Old School Baptists until 1980. During the Civil War, the church had various purposes including being a rendezvous point for Mosby’s Rangers, a hospital, prison, and battleground. The adjacent cemetery contains over 240 marked headstones, including a War of 1812 veteran. The site offers seasonal guided tours, living history programs, and is available for weddings and community gatherings. Visitors can also enjoy the Climb UPton ropes course, the largest in the Mid-Atlantic, with 90 different elements and three levels of difficulty.
