Heiston–Strickler House
The Heiston-Strickler House, also known as the Old Stone House, is a well-preserved Germanic dwelling located on a bank above the south fork of the Shenandoah River in Luray, Virginia. Built around 1790 for either Jacob Heiston or his son Abraham, the house features a three-room floor plan, vaulted cellar, and two-bay façade typical of central European architecture. While showing evidence of English influence in its framing and chimney design, the house retains much of its original plain woodwork.
