"Great place to get some soul food and the chicken is halal! My favorites were the halal party wings and the southern yams. The yams were perfectly seasoned (not too sweet). I chose mumbo sauce and blue cheese dressing with my wings. The catfish was good also, but I prefer other flavors in the seasoning other than just salt. The Cajun fries were enjoyable as well. Plan to go back to try the Mac n cheese. The owner came out to speak to us, and he was a kind soul."

"Came for lunch on Thursday afternoon. Ordered Catfish, Whiting, ribs and sides. My faves were the Catfish and okra. So so good. Super crispy, tender on the inside and seasoned well. Hubby enjoyed his ribs and cornbread. Whiting was good but the catfish is the showstopper. Will be back to try the wings and shrimp soon. The owner is THE nicest guy; Evans is the chef and owner and super passionate about the quality of the food and the customer experience. I hope more people try this place out!"
