The Alleghany Humane Society, located at 9313 Rich Patch Road in Covington, Virginia, has been serving the community since the 1970s. With nearly 50 years of experience, our dedicated team is committed to saving homeless pets and providing support to pet owners in need. We offer services to Alleghany County, Covington, Clifton Forge, and Iron Gate, Virginia, helping reunite lost animals with their owners and giving them a second chance through adoption. Our focus is on promoting responsible pet care and reducing pet overpopulation through spay/neuter assistance and education. Each year, we care for approximately 1,000 companion animals at our shelter and provide low-cost spay/neuter services through our programs.
