Jones Run Falls Trailhead
Jones Run Falls Trailhead is a popular tourist attraction located on Skyline Drive in Crozet, Virginia, United States. This park offers a 3.2-mile round trip hike that takes visitors over a mountain stream, through the forest, and beside a majestic 42-foot waterfall. The hike is of moderate difficulty, with an elevation gain of 1,045 feet and a hiking time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please note that an entrance fee is required to access Shenandoah National Park. The trailhead for this hike is at the Jones Run Parking area. Unfortunately, this trail does not meet ADA accessibility guidelines. Visitors can download the trail map from the website to bring along on their hike. Bolar Mountain Recreation Area
Bolar Mountain Recreation Area is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a fun getaway on Lake Moomaw in Warm Springs, Virginia. The campground offers a variety of activities including boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. With limited cell service, visitors can truly disconnect and enjoy the natural surroundings. The campground features four different areas, each with prime sites offering views or direct access to the lake. Campground 1 has the most electric sites, followed by Campground 2 and 3. Amenities include potable water taps, flush toilets, showers, picnic tables, fire rings, and helpful Camp Hosts. Dump stations are available at Campground 1 and 2 for campers' convenience.
