"1.6 mile one way hike , good trail for beginners. The trail is easy to hike and in good shape. During October when I was here the waterfall was just a trickle. The views are still amazing and worth the hike. The elevation here is 1880 feet with a 45 foot waterfall. U can continue on this trail for approximately another 2 miles to lower Doyle’s fall and upper Doyle’s falls and end at Doyle’s parking area if u want to turn this into a 6 mile one way hike."
"Maybe I'm just terrible at maps but it was much longer than 3.2 miles. Took me about 3 hours but I did almost 8 miles amd saw multiple waterfalls along the way. No regrets whatsoever."
"First time hiker and I did the shorter trail within 2 hours. Very moderate trail and you will cross a stream of water here and there. Beautiful cascades and waterfalls! Would definitely go back!"
"Recommend doing circuit backwards then sign at beginning of trail for an easier hike. 6.5 miles to see three amazing waterfalls can easily do in 4 hours with many stops. One of the most beautiful hikes in Shenandoah, you get rough terrain, steep inclines, and all along the water."
"Beautiful, beautiful hike! Multiple chances to see smaller falls then you get to the big one and it's glorious! The first part of the hike is all down hill so the hike back was intense. There is a lot of poison ivy on the side of the trail so watch out! Three leaves let it be (for the most part). Great vegetation, easy parking, easy trail to understand. It took us more like 3 1/2-4 hours but we were taking pictures and marveling at jack in the pulpits and such for a good amount of that. Really gorgeous hike, but not for the weak of knees. A big plus was a little shop that had bathrooms along the road before we got to the parking."
