Brigham Young Family Cemetery
The Brigham Young Family Cemetery, located at 140 East 1st Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the final resting place of Brigham Young, the second President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and several of his family members. The cemetery is situated near the northeast corner of Temple Square. Brigham Young was buried in this family cemetery on his property in downtown Salt Lake City after his death in 1877. In addition to Brigham Young, marked graves in the cemetery include his wives Lucy Ann Decker, Emmeline Free, and Eliza R. Snow, as well as his children Joseph Angell Young and Alice Young Clawson. Many of the graves in the cemetery are unmarked.
