Washington-on-the-Brazos Amphitheater

During the Great Depression, government stimulus money and work relief programs helped improve the site, including the construction of a stone amphitheater. Today, the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site covers 293 acres and features interpretive trails, the Barrington Living History Farm, the Star of the Republic Museum, and a Visitor Center operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
