"UPDATE 2/28/2024 Shaji Matthew called after I posted this and told me to take my review down. He tried to bully me, stating that my insurance "reimbursed" me for the total amount I paid their office. This is a lie. When I called my insurance, they assured me that we are out of network (check my initial review below, I was told THREE times by their staff that I was IN network) and I had to eat the whole cost because "the specific provider I saw was out of network." ALSO I was billed under Dr. Al-Tamimi when I saw Dr. Matthew so this needs to be addressed as well. But they already took my money so I'm not confident I will get any help. This whole experience has been the most chaotic, confusing, and frustrating experience I've ever had. I will be more than happy to take this review down when the issue is resolved. But do not call me again to hide the fact that your team made mistakes. All I know is, I paid YOUR office over $500 because I accepted the fact that I was out of luck with insurance coverage. What I did not expect was for Shaji to call me and immediately get into why I was in the wrong and not to meet me on the same page. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. INITIAL 2/27/2024 I understand that it is the patient's responsibility to know if dentists are in network. However, I was told by a representative who referred me to Creekview that they took my insurance, AND then the front office worker ALSO told me that they took my insurance. But I got a bill for over $500 because the specific provider we saw was out of network!! I tried calling back and explaining that this was not made clear to me EVER but the staff was very unhelpful and did not accept the responsibility that they miscommunicated with me. I work in healthcare and know that this is just unacceptable communication. When I was at a Primary Care, we would INFORM PATIENTS IF THEIR SPECIFIC PROVIDER WAS OUT OF NETWORK. What they’re doing is either a lack of education from their team or just plain negligence. The dentist also pricked my gums and did not have good bedside manner. I felt like a burden being there. Overall, I work in an ER (clinical) and make it my goal to ensure that every patient feels comfortable and am HONEST with them. If I do not know something about billing, I will make sure I ask the right person so that the patient is not confused. It really sucks that I know that healthcare can be easy to understand, but at Creekview, I felt like they just wanted my money. I did pay the whole bill because I can't fight that I am out of network....this is just not how you do business and certainly NOT how you treat patients."
