"PEOPLE OF COLOR BEWARE! The hygienist and Dr. Wakefield him self are good, no bad experiences there…the hygienist was very good and polite. The front ladies on the other hand, and the billing person, are not helpful. Since the moment I tried to book my appointment the people answering the phone were rude. I called in a October to book my appointment and they said nothing was available until February which I understood and I accepted because of my friend’s recommendation, but I felt like they almost didn’t want me to book! They are out of network with all insurance except one, can’t remember which one. I have Delta Dental and Cigna. I’m sure I asked when I provided my insurance info if they were in network as that is something I do when I first go to a new office. Went to get my cleaning in Feb and I just received a bill for $252! When I called the office, the front lady was rude and the billing person just said that my insurance was paying at a very low fee schedule which I knew wasn’t true because my policy says 100% for preventive procedures and I have two policies they could’ve tried!It wasn’t until I asked if they weren’t in network that she said they weren’t. I told her I didn’t know and she treated me like a liar. She said that there’s no way that anyone would’ve told me that they were in network if I asked. That they normally don’t say that they are not in network because then people will assume that they can’t go there… What??? …But that if patients ask, then they say they are not in network. How is that fair to the patient though? And I’m sure I asked!! I went there because my (white) friend is a regular patient and recommended them to me. I’ll make sure she knows of my experience. Also, Dr. Wakefield recommended a night guard for me. When I was leaving that day I told the front office and she said that she would contact me later to schedule a time to get my measurements. They never contacted me for that either. She was super dismissive as I was leaving. People of color watch out!! The reason why I have “white” in parenthesis above is because you know the feeling when they treat you like you don’t belong there?? Well that’s the treatment I received. They won, I surely won’t be coming back and I will not be paying that bill, not because I don’t have the money but because how misleading they were. They can send me to collections, I’m sure they love doing that."

"I am notoriously terrified of dentists. This guy and his team did a great job dealing with my anxieties, and I didn't have any pain at all. Better yet, they don't direct you toward expensive unnecessary procedures. He's recommended the more inexpensive route on several occasions, even when it meant he'd refer me outside of the office to get the work done (eg. to an endodontist or something). So not only is this guy good at the actual work, he's trustworthy, honest, and operates along a strong set of values."

"If I could give this office LESS than 1 star I would. I went to this office for 30 years when Dr. Stover was there. Loved him! Then the old Dr. Wakefield and his son showed up. I lost a filling and they kept scheduling me to come in and get it filled. Four times I came in and every time they said they didn't have time to do it. Then, when I asked why that kept happening they got mad at me! I have to take off work without pay to come in! Terrible atmosphere! Let me refer you to a really good - wonderful office - great prices and kind dentist. Dr. Jess Baugh, 297 W Round Grove Rd Ste. 127, Lewisville, TX 75067! She is the absolute BEST!!!"

"WOW! I came here to get a second opinion about the work that I needed to get done and although it is as bad as the previous dentist had told me, I felt 100% more comfortable with Dr. Wakefield. He was very kind, compassionate and explained everything thoroughly which was not done with my previous dentist.
