Soldier Family Medical Center (SFMC West Bliss)

"This place sucks one of the nurses kissed my two month old baby. I filed a complaint through the proper channels. only to come back for an acute issue on a separate occasion to be judged by my daughter's PCM when she asked "well where's dad? he needs to be a parent too, and it shouldn't be just you off work"... I am the SM, my husband ALSO works and can't just leave work (little does she know he is in the oil field and isn't in town.) None of her business, anyway. PCM told me to go to children's hospital but never sent any lab orders (flu, etc). They basically wanted me to sit in the ER all day for my daughter's cold. My god i hate the military healthcare system. It always fails us."

"Just like William Beaumont the wait times are incredibly long. I waited nearly 2 hours to be seen during sick call hours. They opened up with “we only have 4 sick call slots.” I’m not even sure what that means. I don’t know how it’s a thing. The staff was good to me, but that’s the only kind thing I have to say. If you have the option just go off post. I’ve been to 4 duty stations and this is shaping up to be the worst medical facilities I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with."

"I was there this morning. I got to see my doc about 30 after I checked in. At first I was kinda mad. But the fact that she went well out of her way to make sure my needs we being attended to. I could’ve wait an hour and still left happy."

"I have never been to this clinic and I had never met my pcm either so coming in I really didn’t know how things work or who to talk to about the questions I had. Mind you I am coming in for the very first time (I am being seen for mental health which I need to see my pcm for referral) I am already anxious because I don’t know the clinic. In asking for information the woman was quite pleasant to the soldier in uniform then it was my turn (I am a spouse) btw, and she was very dismissive and didn’t really seem to want to assist me or offer any help or options I had questions about that I differed from asking because she made me feel as if I was bothering her. Leaving I felt I wasn’t a priority at all made me feel like I was bothering her. I don’t feel I would want to return if this is how they treat people up front what am I to expect when I have to speak to a pcm about my mental health? Shame on you, you don’t know who or why people come everyday to this clinic you are the face of the clinic. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place you’re supposed to go for assistance no matter the case. Shame on you."

"So far out of 5 army installations this has been our best experience. Our doc was amazing and so the nurse. Listened to all our needs and went above and beyond for us. The front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful as well. Patient to all of our request and needs. Behavioral health lady was so kind and lovely. At the lab the whole personnel were so welcoming and helpful. Immunization department was awesome too. Even the soldier greeting at the door was so nice. I love it here, won’t go anywhere else but here from now on. Thank y’all"
