Noah's Ark Animal Shelter, located at 2501 North Weaver Street in Gainesville, Texas, is a dedicated institution that provides humane treatment for unwanted, abandoned, and abused pets in the Cooke County area. Founded under the leadership of Dr. Shelly Gomulak, Noah's Ark S.P.C.A. works in cooperation with the City of Gainesville to accommodate impounded animals and accept pets relinquished by local citizens in exchange for a small donation. Since opening in February of 2006, Noah's Ark Animal Shelter has been committed to finding loving homes for the many animals in their care. All adoptable animals undergo temperament testing, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped before being placed with a new family. In addition to adoption services, Noah's Ark also offers low-cost spay and neuter services for low-income households in collaboration with local veterinarians.
