Gwen Hruska Park, located at 125 Butlers Island in Conroe, Texas, is a recreational institution developed by Montgomery County Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley. Spanning 391 acres, the park features a variety of sports facilities and amenities for the community to enjoy. Additionally, the park is home to a community and nature center, providing educational opportunities and conservation efforts. Within the park, visitors can explore the Mussel Pond Preserve, a 22-acre conservation easement under Legacy Land Trust. Named after the native Texas freshwater mussels found in the area, this preserve offers a peaceful retreat with a ten-acre pond and beautiful natural surroundings.
