The cave, believed to have origins related to the Edwards Aquifer, is home to blind invertebrate species found nowhere else on Earth. Open to the public, the cave has a rich history and was once a popular tourist attraction from 1923 to 1933. Now protected by TCMA, the cave is maintained as a karst resource to preserve its biology, geology, and history. The Robber Baron Open House, held once every 18 months, offers a rare opportunity for visitors to explore this unique underground environment. Sneed House
