"I informed Ms. Zapata before the expiration date of my auto policy that, due to Farmers increased cost, I was going to change coverage to Progressive. Later I was told she needed proof of my new coverage, something she did not tell me when I informed her I was cancelling. I complied with her request. But Farmers continued to bill me, and I of course have refused to pay . I have an 822 FICO score. As a retiree, who has an exemplary driving record and was courteously informing Ms.Zata of my plans to cancel, I resent this uncalled for attitude and will take action to thwart any demand for payment from Farmers Insurance."
