The salon was super clean, smelled amazing, and the owner was so fantastic. She gave us tips on grooming at home, what to use, and was so helpful and kind. "Words cannot how grateful I am for Susan! Our 20-year-old baby was very matted since she hasn’t been able to groom herself, and was also in dire need of a bath. We were nervous to take her anywhere out of fear the groomers wouldn’t be familiar with grooming geriatric cats, or that we would face judgment because of her current condition. Enter FancyPants — we drove an hour to come here and it was worth every minute. There was zero judgment, just objective discussion of our cat’s fur and what the plan was (lion cut). When we came back to pick her up, we were delighted at how comfortable she looked! Her groom was impeccable, and we could really tell that care had been taken to not knick her thin skin. Susan also showed us a couple tools we can use at home to prevent her from getting that matted again. The pricing was very reasonable given that we did a full lion cut, plus the interior of the salon is gorgeous! We will absolutely be back in the event that any of our cats need grooming. "We researched cat groomers in the Nashville area and chose FancyPants Cat Grooming partly because it is for cats only and partly because we were impressed with Susan’s qualifications. Susan surpassed our expectations in every regard. Our geriatric (age 17) cat had terrible mats caused by his hyperthyroidism and our lack of knowledge about long-haired cats. (Although we have had cats for more than a half century, Tiger is our first long-haired cat. We adopted him when he was 16-1/2 years old.) We could tell from the first moment when Susan removed Tiger from his travel carrier that she is a real “cat person”—and Tiger seemed very comfortable being handled by her. Susan and her assistant bathed Tiger, clipped his nails, and removed the mats from his fur. She took her time and did the job thoroughly and with care for his thin, delicate skin. She also explained to us what caused the matting and instructed us in proper care for a long-haired cat. We expect to bring Tiger back for a follow-up grooming in about six weeks, after his hair grows back. He is so much more comfortable now!. We are extremely grateful to Susan for her skill with and compassion for our “crotchety old man” and recommend FancyPants Cat Grooming wholeheartedly and without reservation."
