Thai Esane East Nashville

"Nice staff and great location, I remember when it used to be a burger up. Lots of potential for this place but unfortunately the food was not good. If they get someone in there with actual cooking experience then I'll give it another shot, we ended up throwing away most of the meal."

"I ordered some Pad Thai the other night, it's one of my favorite noodle dishes and it was so dry and just all around not very tasty! The amount of food they give is also very small portions compared to everywhere else. I eat at a lot of different Thai restaurants around town and by far they give the smallest portions and are one of the more pricey places."

"Really glad they have an east location now. Some of the best Thai you can get in Nashville. Reminds me of “noodles in the pot” on halsted st in Chicago. Fresh, hot, tasty. Clean flavors and presentation. Wish portions for carry out were bigger; that’s my only note."

"I’ll start with the positives on this one. First, the food, as always from Thai Esane, was delicious. I got a medium spiced pad Thai with chicken, tofu, and extra peanuts, and an order of egg rolls. The pad Thai was perfectly seasoned and spiced with tons of protein in it, and the egg rolls were super crunchy. The restaurant itself is also really beautiful. It’s very bright and open feeling with cool art on the walls and a cool glass installation above the bar. The negatives from my visit unfortunately soured it a bit. The doors were not marked very well so it was a bit difficult to figure out where to go in. Once I did find my way in, no one greeted me, and I didn’t know where to go to pick up my food. When I was finally acknowledged, I was given kind of an attitude and accused of ordering to the incorrect location. I ordered to the correct location but they had not printed my ticket so I then had to sit and wait for 15 minutes for my food (half an hour total including my original 15 minute wait). If they had been busy I would understand the shortness a bit more but there was one two top sat in the restaurant when I got there. When my food was finally ready, they just kind of shoved it into my hands and acted like I was inconveniencing them again. Great tasting food, not so great customer service. I might just continue going to the other locations instead of this one."

"So happy Thai Esane is in East now! We grabbed dinner and got the red curry, drunken noodles, crab rangoon, and egg roles. Everything was delicious and amazing. Amazing service and really friendly, helpful staff checking on us the entire time! Also very clean and beautiful inside. We can’t wait to come back."
