“A lovely Busy place Hard to find parking spot usually But it has nice shops and beaches”

“I'd recommend taking the Pilot Bay side for the ascent and main beach side for descent. You'd see locals/regulars completing it like it's nothing and then visitors like me making a lot of effort to reach the summit. Taking breaks means you can absorb changing landscapes in all their glory. A picture speaks a thousand words, totally worth the effort. Be cautious on descent, gravel can be slippery.”

“First time visiting we stayed in the kitchen cabin during Christmas, I was absolutely amazed at the cleanliness of this place and everything about it was picture perfect. Kids loved and enjoyed the hot pools which was the highlight of our stay we couldn't fault anything, this place had the most cleanest bbq ever seen. We will definitely be back again and will highly recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for an amazing time we loved it here, so handy having a block of shops right at the doorstep just a walk across the road it was a breeze we didn’t need to drive anywhere for last minute things. “We recently stayed in a well-presented ground floor unit with parking right at the door. Clean, fresh & soft linen & towels. Lovely bathroom products & a generous tea/ coffee selection. Clean & tidy grounds, with a well maintained outdoor thermal heated pool & table tennis area. BBQ available for use & pet friendly. Lovely managers who are kind & welcoming. Quiet location with easy access. Handy to Tauranga, the Mount, Papamoa & Kaimai Ranges (& surrounding towns). Highly recommend booking & staying here, we will be back for sure!”

“This is an amazing day trip that I can't recommend enough. The crew are fun and friendly, trying their hardest to make sure you have a truly magical experience. We saw a superpod with around 150-200 dolphins, we couldn't swim with this pod as they had babies, but a smaller pod was found later. The swimming part is clever, with poles that fold into the water, allowing you to be slowly dragged along with the boat whilst looking under the water with a snorkel, so you can keep up and see the Dolphins. The snorkeling later is also brilliant, seeing seals relaxing in the water and a reef with some interesting fish. Definitely book this trip if you have time in Tauranga”

“I have been going to Aqua classes at Baywave and have been impressed. The classes attract a lot of people and the instructors do a great job. There are a range of different Aqua classes daily. They have a great SPA and Sauna Rooms. The showers etc are always clean and they have a great little cafe. You can also purchase swimwear and accessories onsite and there is plenty of parking. I am yet to try out the Gym. Highly recommended.”

“Wonderful place to stay, central to everything, harbour, main beach, restaurants and the mount itself. A pleasant surprise was that Katie upgraded our apartment which gave us more space to move around making it just perfect for our 6-night stay. Communication from start to end was excellent and Jacinta welcomed us in at check-in. Overall location, cleanliness and space of apartment plus secure parking made for a perfect break away. A very big thank you from my husband and I to all involved. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Sopers Reserve has been saved from a future as an urban sports centre and parking lot This is great news I visited the Gypsy Fair which set up in the Reserve this weekend It was a good venue and there was plenty of shade goid food and entertainment I'm so pleased Sopers Reserve is going to continue as a green space park.”

“From arrival to departure we had the best experience. The staff we encountered within our 3 days stay were very friendly and helpful. Archie’s smile at the bar was so inviting, Brooke on reception was friendly and always making sure we had everything we needed. Carl on departure was fast and efficient with check out. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely big bathroom and had the bonus of a balcony overlooking the water. The king bed was super comfy and there was an offer of different pillows so getting what I needed was not an issue, thanks Chris for this from the second night onwards. Results = a perfect nights sleep. Complimentaries were adequate and it wasn’t a problem to get more if we needed. Location was great with restaurants, bars and shops a short walk along the waterfront. Would highly recommend and will be back to stay again. One bonus that could be added is stronger lighting with a magnifying mirror for makeup in the bathroom. .”

“Unit was serviced every day- everything was so clean. Nothing was too much trouble when requesting extra assistance. The fan in the bedroom and pedestal fan in lounge were a godsend. The complex is central to all amenities. Great to have tvs in lounge and bedroom but would recommend a simple radio for use during the day. A clock would also be helpful Being beachy people it was great to have access to a clothes line to dry togs and towels Will definitely stay here again”
